2011 Australia Day Honours: Roger Smalley and Lindsay Aked

The 2011 Australia Day Honours list recognises 15 Australians for their services to music. These include, among others, Emeritus Professor Roger Smalley (AM) for his service to the arts as a composer, concert pianist, educator, mentor for emerging musicians and an advocate for Australian and international new music; Lindsay Aked (1930-2010, OAM), for his service to music as a composer, educator, organist, and choirmaster; Virginia Braden (OAM), for services to arts administration; and Margaret Moore (OAM), for services to the arts through music education.
