ISCM World Music Days 2012 - Australian works selected
Clare Maclean's work Agnus Dei for mixed choir, Benjamin Thorn's carillon work Bell Play, and Daniel Blinkhorn's electroacoustic work Anthozoa will be performed at the 2012 ISCM World Music Days festival in Belgium.
Maclean's and Thorn's works were selected from the Australian ISCM Section's submission to the festival, while Blinkhorn's work was selected from the individual submissions sent directly to the festival's organisers.
The 2012 festival will take place on 25-31 October 2012 in six cities: Antwerp, Bruges, Brussels, Ghent, Leuven and Mons. The organisers received 500 works in total. Of the 87 works selected, 70 came from ISCM sections and 17 through individual submissions. For a full list of works for the 2012 festival, please see the festival website.
