Opportunity: cellist John Addison's workshop for composers
Cellist John Addison is running a weekend workshop in Hobart on 20-22 May for composers, focusing on writing for the cello. The workshop program covers all aspects of cello technique, starting from the traditional and working its way through the innovations of the 20th century to specific 21st-century techniques developed by Addison himself. There will also be plenty of opportunities for interaction and questions. The cost of the workshop is $250 (note the updated price), further information is available on the IHOS opera website and on Facebook. Registrations deadline is 2 May 2011.
